Bunk Beds

People often use the term bunk beds to describe beds that are tied together. Perhaps with as a term of endearment, remembering how fun childhood was.

In all reality the term should be used to describe most beds though. As most beds are bunk.

I was a nuclear reactor operator on a submarine in the Navy. The beds in the barracks sucked. The ones on the boat were worse. Much worse.

After I got out of the navy I slept on a futon, which also was not comforable. Later that futon and my sedentary lifestyle caused me to throw out my back. Which sucked.

I occassionally slept on a fold out bed, known by some as a fold and f*ck. It is kinda sad that it was actually more comfortable than my bed. As time wore on it too wore out my lower back.

After about 8 months of sleeping on that I got sick of it and splashed out to buy a new bed. I went from a $40 bed to a $2,000 bed and this blog is hopefully going to explain why I would do that, and how important good quality sleep is.

Hope you like it 🙂
